SABBATICAL COACH FOR HIGH-ACHIEVING WOMEN
The career break isn’t the hard part.
Telling yourself it’s okay to take one is.
Her Fearless Chapter is an 8-session, 12-week 1:1 coaching program that helps high-achieving women build the plan (and the permission) to finally take a self-funded sabbatical.
You’ve done everything right.
The degree. The promotions. The title that once felt like proof you’d made it.
Yet somewhere along the way it started meaning less than it used to.
You’ve built your whole life around a career that you aren’t sure you even want anymore.
You’ve thought about taking a sabbatical, real time away from work. Maybe more than once. But every time you get close, something stops you:
You’ve calculated the risk six different ways and still can’t decide.
You’re not sure if you have a good enough reason.
You’re the responsible one. And responsible people don’t just quit.
You don't need another pep talk about self-care. You need to actually believe it's okay to take a break.
With a mentor by your side who's done it twice and knows exactly where you'll get stuck.
Imagine finishing this program and:
Leaving your job on your own terms, with the relationships that matter still intact
Trusting your own decision to take a sabbatical enough to stop caring what others think
Having a real financial plan and a start date on the calendar for your career break
Feeling like yourself again. Not who you are at work. You.
This isn’t about escaping your life.
It’s about designing the next chapter on purpose.
I’m Kelsey
I’m an ex-marketing director who took two intentional career breaks in my 30s, one to travel the world and one to become a sabbatical coach.
I know what it’s like to sit exactly where you are: successful on paper, feeling less excited about your own life every day, and afraid to want something different than the 15-year career you’ve worked hard to build.
Here’s what I wish I knew then:
The feeling that something is off doesn’t just go away because you ignore it.
It will feel scary to make the jump, no matter how long you wait.
I wouldn’t take back a moment of my time off for anything.
These experiences didn’t just change my life, they changed how I make decisions.
That’s why I help women design transformational sabbaticals. You don’t have to figure this out alone. I’ve done it twice, and I’ll be right next to you while you do it too.
Because your life was made for more than waiting for retirement to live your dreams.
The Fearless Chapter Framework
The Fearless Chapter Framework moves you through three phases in order to dream and design your own intentional sabbatical:
Unlearn, so you stop letting rules you never chose talk you out of taking a career break. Reconnect, so wanting time off work stops feeling selfish and starts feeling like the obvious next step. Design, so you leave with a real plan for your sabbatical, not just a dream.
UNLEARN
Stop needing a good day at work to feel good about yourself
Stop feeling guilty for wanting to take a sabbatical
Stop spinning out about the worst-case scenario of leaving
Start seeing the real risk of staying exactly where you are
Staying isn’t the safe choice it looks like. A year of quiet disengagement does more damage to your career than a break you can speak honestly to.
RECONNECT
Stop prioritizing your life around work, with only the leftover energy for everything else
Start letting yourself want things without needing a good reason for it first
Decide to take your career break without second-guessing yourself
DESIGN
Start testing what your sabbatical could look like before you commit to a plan
Stop worrying about what returning to work looks like; know you have a re-entry plan
Start turning your dream into a financial plan you can execute

Prototyping (weeks 7,8): Clients encouraged to spend ~4 hours per week prototyping plus 60 minutes on reflection work, roughly 5 hours a week. As this is the more time intensive period clients often add buffer weeks to this segment of the program.
Buffer: (2 weeks to be used anytime): No scheduled time commitment. This buffer is yours to use as needed.

You’ve already talked yourself out of it because you can’t picture how you’d afford it yet

That's exactly what the first two phases of the program are for. Giving you space to work through your fears and make a decision you feel confident in. Remember, your break doesn’t have to happen right away you may decide to plan for a future sabbatical.
-
The overarching structure is the same for everyone, but what goes into it is entirely yours. Everyone starts with the same set of exercises but our 1:1 coaching sessions will address your needs, your barriers and your fears.
-
Yes, absolutely. While a layoff isn’t always an ideal way to start your sabbatical, my clients have found that their layoff experience was greatly improved by pausing to be intentional about their time off.
-
That’s perfectly fine! Your decision is yours. There are no refunds, but you won’t walk away empty-handed. If you decide not to take a career break we will build your next chapter at work so the program still delivers real value even if a sabbatical isn’t the outcome.
-
No. Building your financial plan is part of the program, it happens in weeks 9-10 as part of your Design phase. You don't need to arrive with the answer.
-
While coaching and therapy have some overlap there is a key distinction. Coaching focuses on taking action and building towards the future. Therapy focuses on processing past trauma. We will talk about your feelings, but we’ll always bring it around to what happens next. Coaching and Therapy are complimentary and many of my clients choose to do both at the same time.
